Chanukah, the Jewish festival of lights, will soon be upon us. (It will be for eight days, starting at sunset on November 28, this year.)
The Chanukah candlestick, Chanukiah is a symbol of bringing light in the dark.
Chabad Kyoto is working to install Chanukiahs in places to bring this positive message to the people.
We visited MIXCAFE in Kawanishi City, Hyogo Prefecture, who kindly allowed us to set up a Chanukiyah in front of their store.
MIXCAFE is a café where you can enjoy Israeli food such as falafel, and it has become a place for people to relax and connect.

We are looking for a few more places to install the same type of Chanukiah (iron, 9-branch candelabra just over 1 meter high) as the one in the photo. If you know someone who can install it in a place where it will be seen by many people, please contact us.
